So you'd like to grow your own tomatoes?! Tomatoes are one of the most popular crops for home gardeners but they can also be quite challenging to grow, especially in our climate.
We offer a big selection of tomato plants for sale from October to March, with the main season for planting tomatoes being October - December. While we know gardeners love growing their own tomatoes for their freshness and flavor, because they are large and can be tricky to grow we suggest starting slow and only growing as many as you can truly handle.
Our most popular varieties are Sungold cherry, Tidy Treats dwarf cherry, and our collection of humidity loving standard red slicers (like Kewalo, Anahu, Homestead 24 & Tropic). If you are growing in containers or in a small space, consider choosing "determinate" types over "indeterminate". While determinate plants stay smaller all tomatoes need quite a bit of trellising so make sure you have the space and supplies needed and you do some planning before planting too many plants.
