Refund Policy
Refund policy for events and workshops:
Due to the intimate nature of the workshops we do not offer refunds for cancellations but we oftentimes have a waitlist so with enough warning we can try to replace you and then refund your payment. If you want us to try and replace you just email us and we will do our best.
Refund policy for plants:
If you feel like the plant you purchased from us is ill or unhealthy please get in touch with us via email (mail@littlerivercooperative.com) within 48 hours of purchase. Please include photos and if we agree we are happy to refund your purchase, however please note that we may not agree with you if we feel like the plant is in a healthy state. Plants are resilient and small issues like broken leaves or a tiny amount of aphids present don't mean that your plants wont make it.
Because we sell living things replacement or refund issues must be brought to us within 48 hours of purchase or delivery, since the quality of the plant can drastically change from hour to hour if being neglected. Once you receive your plants you should be prepared to water them 2-3 times a day until they are planted in your garden. Do not wait more than a 5-7 days to up pot or plant your seedling in its final location, since the plants are sold to you fully rooted and mature and they will outgrow their pots quickly.
The biggest mistakes we see new gardeners make that have them coming to us to complain about plants are 1. waiting too long to transplant their plants, or not even realizing that they need to be put in larger pots (every single plant we sell needs to be planted into a garden or larger planter in order to thrive) and 2. not adding a granular fertilizer to the soil they are planting them in. Yes, compost is important, but it does not contain all of the nutrients your plant will need in order to grow to maturity and make you food. We sell and recommend Sustane Organic granular fertilizer for mixing into the soil at planting, and Neptunes Harvest Fish & Seaweed blend for continued fertility throughout the season.
If you notice that your plants leaves are yellowing, and the plant isn't growing, give us a call! We are happy to give you some advice to get you on the right track.
