Little River Gardens designed, installed, and maintains this 1,070 square foot residential kitchen garden in Pinecrest, near Matheson Hammock. Built in 2025 for a large family with specific dietary standards, the garden focuses on organic production and gives the children a hands-on place to interact with the garden and learn where their food comes from.

Invasive iguanas are a nuisance throughout South Florida, so a fully enclosed garden was a necessity. The design of the enclosure was inspired by a well-known celebrity garden. Alongside the enclosure, a large U-shaped planter holds herbs, tomatoes, and a few other iguana-proof crops.

We are excited to continue providing ongoing organic maintenance for this family.
