Aztec Sweet Herb is a really cool plant thats in what we casually call “the lantana family”, because technically Lantana isnt a family, its a genus, but there are so many cool lantanas that grow well in South Florida we like to think of them as a big happy family. Lippia Alba, dominican oregano and moujean tea, all plants we sell in this store, are all lantanas and there are 2 cool varieties native to South Florida. Aztec Sweet herb smells like a normal lantana but when you eat even just a small amount of the leaf it has a super power- ful sweetness to it. We’ve seen cool recipes online for things like deserts with edible flowers and their leaves on top for decoration and for fruit salads with the leaf mixed in. It would also be cool in a herbaceous greens salad or as a candied leaf.
